Eva was the daughter of Rufus Dewitt and Julia F. Smith "Dorrough" Champion. She married William Alexander Bingham on 8 Mar 1911.
Her obituary, published in the old Walthall Warden newspaper.
Mrs W.A. Bingham, wife of W.A. Bingham, daughter of R.D. Champion, was born Feb 20th 1875. Joined the Baptist church in 1899. Lived a devout member of the church from then until death. She held her membership with Cross Roads Saints from the time of joining until she was called to her reward.
She married Mr. W.A. Bingham on March the 8th 1911 which union was short but they were indeed very happy in their little home, but it was in peace and pleasure.
She died at New Cumberland on Nov 25th 1913, and was buried at Old Cumberland Cemetery the following day.
Her funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.B. Wages.
She leaves a husband, father, mother, one brother and three sisters to mourn her departure. So dear relatives lets not mourn as those who have no hope. for the day is coming when we shall meet again.
It was the pleasure of the writer to be sister Eve Bingham's pastor for several years. I found in her a noble Christian spirit, and a character, bright and clear.
Always willing to do her part in church, in home and every where when duty called.
She has gone from earth but not to cease to live. Where angels voices with praises forever ring.
Where the loved ones who had gone on before were ready and willing to greet her at the golden gate.
