Daughter of William David and Kizzie Ann Jane Walker. She was the youngest of 9 children (8 of whom preceded her in death).
At the age of 5, her family blazed a trail to Cherokee County, by wagon, horseback, and walking. She grew up in Cherokee County in Qualls, where she married Curtis Holderby; they had 3 children: Argus Codean, Edward M. C., and Jewell Irene.
She and Curtis rode horseback to a preacher on 25 Feb 1933, with the future State Rep. Dan Draper as Witness, where they exchanged vows that lasted until death did part them when Curtis died on 29 Jan 1989.
In 1941 0r early 1942, the government displaced the family in order to build Camp Gruber, and Curtis and Eunice lived in the Woodall Coimmunity as short time before moving to a modest home built by Curtis in Stone Chapel Community on 30 Oct 1942.
Eunice was a cook at Stone Chapel School and Woodall Schools.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Curtis Coden; one niece: Debra Ann Holderby Cook; one grandson: Terry Allen Holderby; and one g-grandson: Jessie Daniel Maize.
Survivors include: one daughter: Jewell Holderby Linville of Tahlequah; one son: Edward M. C. Holderby and wife Goldie of Ft. Gibson; one daughter-in-law: Patricia Sullivan and husband Charlie of Nesbit, MS; 6 granchildren: Patricia Tate and husband Tom of Proctor; Russell Holderby of Tahlequah; Timothy Holderby and wife Karen of Ft. Gibson; Jeffrey Holderby and wife Shelley of Ft. Gibson; Paula Linville Moldenhauer of Thornton, CO and husband Jerry; Curtis Weldon Linville of Golden, CO and wife Anne; 16 g-grandchildren: Melissa Holderby of Tulsa; Erin Holderby Willeford and husband Jeff of Chichasha; Amber Maize of Tahlequah, Jasen Corns of Tulsa; Eric Holderby of Ft. Gibson, Cody Cook of Ft. Gibson; Ryan Holderby and wife Samantha of Ft. Gibson; Jeremy Holderby of Ft. Gibson; Sarah, Seth, Stephen and Samuel Moldenhauer of Thornton, CO; Caleb, Lydia, Daniel, and Luke Linville of Golden, CO; 6 g-g-grand children: Austin and Avery Maize of Tahlequah; and Michael, Tanner, Dylan, and Makenna Corns of Tulsa.
