"Wilma A. Dick, Langdon St., Somerset, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 1996, at Columbia Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital following a short illness. She was 88.

Born Oct. 1, 1907, in Pulaski County, she was a daughter of the late John Daniel and Sarah Elizabeth Neeley Hines. She was a former presser for Somerset Laundry, Sanitary Cleaners, and Jiffy Cleaners, and attended Camp Ground Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Earnest Lloyd (and Linda) Dick, Norfolk, Va., and Jeff Wayne (and Margaret) Dick, Somerset; seven daughters, Thelma Louise (and Hubert) Hines Smith, Wayne County, and Delores (and Jack) Mounce, Della (and Marconi) Smith, Edith Jean (and Cecil) Hall, Ruth Edna (and Hubert) Jones, Barbara Vaught, and Verna (and Robert) Ard, all of Somerset; a brother, Charles Hines, Versailles; two sisters, Jewey Scales, Somerset, and Kathleen White, Lexington; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vearl Dick, whom she married May 24, 1931, in Pulaski County; a daughter, who died during birth; two brothers, James and Malcom Hines; two sisters, Effie Smith and Christine Hatter; a grandson, Larry Smith; and a great-granddaughter, Sabra Ann Smith.

Funeral services will be Monday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company with the Rev. Gerald Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in Tanner Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Donations are preferred to Gideon Bibles."
