Born in Southbridge, Massachusetts on July 15, 1921 to the late Gabriel and Susan (Sobolewski) Adamick. Mr. Adamick was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in WWII. He earned a bachelors degree in mining engineering from the Missouri School of Mines (now Missouri S&T) and retired as a topographer for the U.S.G.S. He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Rolla Knights of Columbus for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Janet Choun; two sisters, Nora Adams and Nellie Hunt; and one brother, Jack Adamick. He will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes three daughters, Jackie Chlipala and husband Frank, of Sullivan, MO, Kathy Pompe and husband Bruce, of Chesterfield, MO, and Angie Appleby and husband Bob, of Joplin, MO; one brother, Chet Adamick, of PA; one sister, Rita Adamick, of MA; son-in-law, Bob Choun, of Lenexa, KS; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other extended family members and dear friends.
