Shawnee resident, Ronald Timothy Harjo, 60, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 at a local hospital.
Wake services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9 at First Indian Baptist Church in Shawnee. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the First Indian Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Snake Creek Cemetery, north of Seminole. His body will lie in state at the church beginning at 4:00 p.m. Thursday.
Ronald was preceded in death by his mother, his wife, and a sister: Gwendolyn Factor.
He is survived by a daughter: Naomi Salamca of California; grandchildren: Angel, Chico, Nellie and Natalia Salamca; his father: Roly Harjo; 5 brothers: Howard Sarkechee, Ronnie Dale Harjo, Winfred B. Harjo, Jeffrey K. Harjo, all of the home and Paul S. Harjo of Shawnee; 3 sisters: Beverly Hill of Bethany, Sharon Messer of Shawnee, and Anita Lena of Okla. City; uncle: Redmond Wolf; and several nieces, and nephews, other family and friends.
