Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Annie Fixico were held Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the Mekusukey Mission Gymnasium, with Brother Dave Bowlegs officiating.
Interment followed at the Harjo Family Cemetery, just west of the mission.
Fixico, 83, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at her home in Seminole.
Annie Fixico was born February 5, 1925 to Wesley and Jowina (Tiger) Harjo in Wewoka. She married Joe Fixico in Wewoka on February 27, 1942.
Fixico was a homemaker, and a member of the New Tulsa Ceremonial Grounds.
She was a member of the Tom Palmer Band.
Her parents, husband, brothers Robert Leetka, Rex Harjo and J.D. Harjo, and granddaughter Marissa Tiger preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Jeff Fixico of Wewoka and Tavola Fixico of Seminole; six daughters, Nancy Lowe of Holdenville, Maleah Drapeau of Ada, and Madeline Tiger, Jennie Fixico, Betty Fixico and Tracy Rogers, all of Seminole; sixteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Mike Lowe, Leo Tiger, Joe Fixico, Dylan Fixico, Randall Lowe, Devan Fixico, Garrett Drapeau and Pvto Rogers served as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers included Eugene Lowe, Kenneth Drapeau, Leo Tiger, Sr., Tim Rogers, Ronald Frazier and Jeremy Drapeau.
