Death: Jun. 18, 1990

Funeral services for Doris Anderson, 83, a lifetime Reardan area resident, were held June 22, 1990 at the Chapel of Flowers, Riplinger Funeral Home in Spokane. Rev. Philip Falk of Reardan officiated. Graveside services were held at the Reardan Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson, who died June 18, 1990 in Spokane, was born in Cheney and graduated from Cheney Normal School (EWU). She then taught at Star, Wild Rose, Kellogg, Idaho and Mount View Schools. She married Norman Anderson in 1930 and they farmed at Reardan and still lived on the same farm. She was a pianist and organist and was a member of the Methodist Church, Daughters of the Nile, Ladies Oriental Shrine, LOS Kashmars, Davenport Chapter of the Eastern Star and the Waukon Grange. Survivors included her husband, Norman; one foster son, Herman Scholer, Jr. of Reardan; one sister, Leona Nelms of Spokane; and one brother, David Lane of Deer Park; numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, N. 820 Summit Blvd, Spokane 99201-1598 or the charity of the donor's choice.
