| Birth: | Jun. 22, 1924 Centre County Pennsylvania, USA | | Death: | Jun. 1, 2005 | Glenn was the youngest son and last living child of Edgar and Mabel Maude Heberling. She was in her fifties when he was born. Glenn graduated from Lock Haven High in 1942. he married M. Jean Snoke and had two sons Joseph and Neil. He was a farmer on the old ancestrial farmland of his ancestor Christian Bechdel. He is survived by his wife, sons and daughter in laws and two granddaughters. He was much loved and is much missed. A tribute written by Babrbara Nichols was read by Helen Bechdel at the Bechdel reunion in July 2005: Oh, my Uncle Glenn, how he will be missed. The reasons we loved him, too many to list. Although time with him was short, he left me great memories I am pleased to report. Brother to my Grandma, is how we are related. She named a son after him, so you know how he rated. Through tough times, he was at her side. When I looked at his face, I could see her eyes. The things he did for me where beyond measure, letters and poetry I still treasure. A love for farms and outdoors we did share, about friends and family he did care. Don't drink, go to church- he would coach. A man with character beyond reproach. A lovely giving wife-so good to me. Two fine grown sons, his legacy. Now buried in his beloved farm sod, we know he's now with our loving God. Uncle Glenn's love and guidance- special, it's true. Memories of him, keep them close to you.
