The funeral for Reuben Kenneth Barrick, 68, of Rt. 1, Port Republic will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Mill Creek Church of the Brethren. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Thomas Geiman, and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Barrick, a retired official of the Bureau of Engraving in Washington, D.C., died Wednesday at his home. He was born March 14, 1916, at Sedalia, Mo., and was a son of the
late Reuben and Mary Katherine Johnston Barrick.

He was a member of Mill Creek Church of the Brethren, the church choir and the Celebrate Singers. Mr. Barrick was an honorary member of the Cross Keys-Mill Creek Ruritan Club, past president of the Bank Note Engraving Guild and a former member of the American Legion. Mr. Barrick served in the Navy during World War II.

On Nov. 16, 1939, he married the former Pauline Zey, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, June Dickson of Memphis, Tenn., Dorothy Eaton of Cary, Ill., and M. Katherine Barrick of Rockville, Md.; a sister, Dorothy Crawford of Bastrak, Texas; and four grandchildren.

The body is at the Long Funeral Home on Va. 276 near Mount Crawford. The family will receive friends at the Barrick home. The casket will be closed.

In lieu of flowers, the family said contributions may be made to the Celebrate Singers, in care of John Hostetler, 312 Stuart Ave., Elkton 22827.
