Mrs. Susanna Lovina Lentz,75, Gettysburg, widow of Israel Lentz, died in the Warner HOspital this morning at 4 o'clock from shock due to injuries received in a fall at her home last Saturday morning. She was admitted to the hospital Saturday with a fractured left hip and leg.
She was born in Adams County, a daughter of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Lentz Guise, and resided all her life in the county. She was the last surviving member of her family. Her husband died in 1935.
She was the mother of Albert J. Lentz, the first Adams Countian to die in World War I, and for whom the local American Legion was named. She was a member of the American Legion auxiliary.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Joesph Butt, ettysburg, Willian E. Lentz, Philadelphia, Mrs. Clarence Hewitt, and Mrs. Robert Kennell both of Gettysburg, and Daniel Lentz at home.
Funeral services from the Bender Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by the Rev. D Perry Bucke. Interment in the Friends' Grove Cemetery, near Biglerville.
