Ora Esther Beals, 80, of Casey, formerly of Gila, Illinois, died at 8;25 am, Monday, February 9, 1998 at Heartland Manor Nursing home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30, Thursday, February 12, 1998 at Barkley Funeral Home in Greenup, Illinois. Burial is in the Kerns Cemetery, rural Gila. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home.

She was born June 30, 1917 in Gila, the daughter of Virgil and Ora (Hutton) Cox. She married Everett Beals in 1935 and he preceded her in death in 1964. She was a school cook.

Survivors include five sons, Omer Beals of Indianapolis, Ind., Hallie Beals of Stilesville, Ind., Lyle Beals of Plainfield, Ind., Greg Beals of Jewett, Ill. and David Beals of Toledo, Ill.; one daughter, Linda Beals of Effingham, Ill.; one brother, Howard (Si) Cox of Danville, Ill.; two sisters, Alice Willison of hindsboro, Ill. and Martha Clagg of Effingham, Illinois; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter and two brothers.
