OBITUARY:
ATHENS - Ludie Mae Romine Adams, 80, of Elkton Road died Monday at her home. The funeral will be today at 3:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with Tony Wales and Neil Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.

Mrs. Adams was a homemaker, a member of Elkton Road Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Prentis Adams.

Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Hargrove, Linda King and Brenda Adams, all of Athens; four sons, Doyce Adams of Lester, Danny Adams of Hatton, Jerry Adams and Phillip Adams, both of Athens; four sisters, Flora Bates of Athens, Norema Sandlin, Carrie Guthrie and Lois Powell, all of Cullman; one brother, Ellis Romine of Birmingham; and 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Limestone County or to American Cancer Society.
