Joyce A. Arner, 89, of Palmerton, died Friday, January 28, 2011, at her home. Born December 8, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Edith (Borger) Christman. She and her husband Mahlon S. Arner were married on April 20, 1947. She was the co-owner and operator of the former Arners Pastry Shoppe, Palmerton. She also worked as a Payroll Clerk and Bookkeeper at the former Palmer Shirt Factory and at Segals By the Bridge. Joyce was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church-Trachsville. She was a Graduate of Palmerton High School and the Allentown Business College. Survivors: Along with her husband, she is survived by: daughter, Diane J. wife of Terry Serfass of Palmerton, PA, daughter, Carol A. wife of Gary Kuehner of Hamburg, PA; sister- Janet wife of Raymond Miller of Laurys Station, Pa; brother, Delbert Christman of Palmerton, PA; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
