Funeral services for the well known carpenter were held at 11 o'clock this morning from the First Baptist Church with the Rev. A. S. Howard officiating. Burial followed In the Town Creek Church cemetery.
Mr. Barton was a native of Aiken county and a member of the First Baptist Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Annie Barton; one daughter, Mrs. George Reynolds of Greenwood; one step-son, Elvln O. Brooks of Graniteville; one niece, one nephew and two step-grandchildren.
