Mr. Ramon Toledo Monta of Lake Worth, Flordia, passed away on August 12, 2008, after a short illness. He was born at Surgao Del Nortre, Philippines. As a teenager, he served with the Philippine Army in World War II, in guerrilla warefare against the Japanese Army. Later, he was an Army cook for the Philippine Army Hospital in San Fernando Pampanga. He arrived in Fort Smith(Sebastian County), Arkansas in 1988, followed by his wife: Antonia, in 1989. They resided with their son-in-law: William Belzung and their daughter: Salvacion Belzung.
The Montas moved to Florida in 1994, to be with their son: Angelito Monta.
Mr. Monta was preceded in death by six brothers; five sisters; his first wife: Matlide Falloran; two sons Armondo Monta and Ruben Monta; and his parents; all of the Philipines.
He is survived by his second wife: Antonia Monta; two daughters: Salvacion Belzung and Helen Legaspi; two sons: Romon Monta Jr. and Angelito Monta; and daughters-in-laws: Delia Monta and Elviza Monta.
