Sammie Randolph Allen, 80 of Dover and formally of Honey Grove, Texas departed this life Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Arkansas River Valley Hospice Home in Russellville.

He was born January 21, 1935 in Honey Grove, Texas to John Thomas Allen and Julia Alberta Blackwood.

Sam was great carpenter and a wonderful family man. He will be missed by many family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Wanda Lee Lawhon Allen; a grandson, Keith Dwayne Allen; two sisters, Velma Allen and Joyce Jones; five brothers, John Allen, Bobby Allen, Roy Allen, Thomas "Ed" Allen and Frank Allen.

Survivors include, two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ricky Allen, Robert and Bertha Allen; one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Lloyd Duvall; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Raymond and Shirley Allen and Mike Allen; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Stacy and Greg Cravens, Heather and Aaron Bridges, John and Felicia Allen, Rhonda Moore, ,Mark and Lacey Duvall, Anthony and Julie Duvall, Chris Duvall and Ricky Tilmon; 13 great-grandchildren, Randall, Brianna, Brooke, Brynlee, Cypruss, Lila, Sophia, Gracelyn, Kylee, Chloe, Luke, Sam and Brilie.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Brookston, Texas with Pastor William Flynn officiating under the direction of Broussard Funeral Home of Russellville.

A visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m., Friday evening at Grace Chapel Trinity Pentecostal Church. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Greg, Aaron, John, Randall, Anthony and Mark. Honorary pallbearers are, Chris, Luke and Sam.
