Gloria M. Busche, 79, of Hampshire, passed away Monday, May 14, 2007 at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin.

She was born October 13, 1927 in Nelson, IL the daughter of Walter and Evelyn (Jansen) Brockman. Gloria married Edwin W. Busche on April 12, 1946 in Freeport and they were residents of the Hampshire/Elgin area for over 60 years.

Mrs. Busche had been employed at the Elgin National Watch Factory and at Playskool Mfg. in Hampshire for several years before retirement. Gloria was a longtime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of North Plato and the Ladies Aid of the Church. She was a member of the Die-Hard Cubs Fans, a Green Bay Packer supporter, and had a love of reading and solving crossword puzzles.

She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are her husband, Ed; son, Terry Busche of Marengo; daughters, Linda (Scott) Ross of Rockford, Wendy (Victor) Sutton of Sycamore and Cindy (Glenn) Gray of Burlington; five grandchildren, Brian (Sherry) Busche and Chad (Michele) Busche both of Hampshire, Aaron Sutton (Fiance, Cassie Engels) of Woodstock, Rhiannon (Brian) Watterson of Sycamore and Christopher Ross serving in Iraq; five great- grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley, Ryan, Alyssa, and Luci; and a brother, James (Patricia) Brockman of Greenville, SC.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Sis Busche; and a sister, Carol Smith.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 18, 2007 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, 43W301 Plank Rd. , North Plato, with Pastor Gerhard Mau officiating. Burial will be in the North Plato Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, 05/17 at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME, 284 PARK ST., HAMPSHIRE, and also at the Church on Friday, 05/18 prior to services from 10 to 11 AM.

Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the Ladies Aid of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Information call 847-683-2711
