Ella Justus, 82, of Hurley, died Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Phelps, KY. Born March 24, 1930 in Paynesville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Jessie Mullins Lester. She was a homemaker and a caregiver. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Justice; second husband, Hannibal Justus; three sons, Douglas, Dewey and Larry Justice; one sister, Pricey Lester; a niece, Rosie Lester; and a nephew, Lucky Lester. She is survived by four daughters, Cathy Matney and husband, Randy, Connie Gibson and husband, Lawrence and Carolyn Sue Tackett and husband, James, all of Hurley and Mary Endicott and husband, Mike, of Fort Wayne, IN; three sons, Don Justice and wife, Maxine, Dawson Justice and wife, Sherry and Keith Justus, all of Hurley; daughter-in-law, Glena Justice of Hurley; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, September 19 at Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist Church in Hurley with Elders Larry Gibson, Danny McCoy, Danny Hurley and Steve Baker officiating. Burial followed in the Ambrose Mullins Cemetery in Paynesville. Pallbearers were sons and grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Good Shepherd Nursing Home. Virginia Funeral Home of Grundy was in charge of arrangements.
