Daughter of Stuart Starner and Avis Smith. Second wife of William F Aurand Jr.
As written in the Pottsville Republican Newspaper, Monday December 16, 1963 on page 20:
Mrs. William Aurand, 59, of 210 W. Broad Street, Tamaqua, died Sunday, at 7:15 A.M. in Coaldale state Hospital, where she had been a patient for 10 days. She had been in ill health for three years.
Born at Bear Creek, Mrs. Aurand, the former Ethel Starner, was a daughter of the late Sturart and Avis Smith Starner.
A Former resident of White Haven, she came to Tamaqua in 1959. She was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are her husband; three sisters and one brother: Mrs. Beulah Butler and Mrs. Lydia Mrocinski, both of Phillipsburg, N.J.; Mrs. Elsie Davis of Hazlet, N.J.; and Harry of Phila.
Funeral will be held Thursday morning from Davis Funeral Home, 237 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, with he Rev. William A. Pahls, pastor of the First Methodist Church, Tamauqa, officiating. Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Cemetery
