LABORER KILLED BY EARTHSLIDE IN DITCH
Jose Ocosta Caught Beneath Falling Mass and Fatally Injured.
Jose Ocosta was fatally injured yesterday by the caving of a sewer ditch on E street between Front and L. He was working in the ditch and had no warning of the impending danger. Some time elapsed before extricating him and it was found that he had sustained injuries necessitating his being taken to a hospital. The accident happened at 9 a.m. and he died at 2 p.m.
His roommate, Jose Carillo, has communicated with Ocosta's relatives and the body will be held pending investigation of the accident and instructions from the relatives.

ACOSTA - In this city, April 14, 1912, Jose Acosta, a native of Mexico, aged 33 years.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral from the chapel of Johnson, Connell & Saum, Seventh and D streets, at 8:45 o'clock a.m. today, thence to St. Joseph's church, where services will be held at 9 o'clock a.m. Interment at Catholic cemetery.
