Civil War: Company E, 6th California Infantry

Alfred Ring enlisted as a private at San Francisco, California, March 3, 1863, and was mustered into Company E, 6th California Infantry, May 7. Private Ring drowned in the Sacramento River June 6, 1863, and was buried in the Benicia Barracks post cemetery. (Orton, 745, 880-81)
