Lon Adamson came with his brother, Bert, from Wyoming bringing cattle to the Epsie area. He filed on a homestead on the head of Fifteen Mile Creek in 1912 and built his cabin.
Following Lon's return from active duty in World War I, in addition to his farming, he did road construction work with Joe Anderson, road supervisor. In the summer of 1917, during a terrific electircal storm, lightening struck, ran along a wire fence and killed five head of the Adamson livestock that had drifted along the fence. Lon traded his homestead to the Palmers for a place in Missouri. Later Lon married Nina Mock and they live in Dayton, Wyo. Their children are a son, David, and a daughter, Ruth. - - - by Nana Bottles Adamson, Echoing Footsteps, History of Powder River County, page 48.
