John S. Alexander, 83, of Springfield, a retired farmer of the Ash Grove community, Mr. Alexander had moved to Springfield seven years ago. He died at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, in his home, after a lingering illness. He was a member of the East Grand Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Rosie; daughter Mrs. William J. McDonald; two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Maneke, and Mrs. Ada Darling; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial Saturday, in the Ash Grove Cemetery.
