ABBOTT, HENRY H.
(1847~ 1925)

He enlisted in the C.S.A. in October of 1864 and served in Captain Tom Glenn's Independent Battery of Georgia Artillery until May of 1865, when he surrendered at Atlanta after General Lee surrounded the city.

After the War, Abbott moved to Texas in 1877, and settled in Midlothian, Ellis County. He worked as a laborer until September 5, 1916, when he was admitted to the Texas Confederate Home in Austin, where he remained until his death, on August 11, 1925.
