Mr. Beazley, 58, of Chester, co-owner of the former Beazley's Food Land in Chester, died at Chippenham Hospital after a long illness. He operated the grocery store with two of his brothers for 34 years before they sold the business. He had been a building and grounds maintenance worker in Chesterfield County for about four years. A native of Bowling Green in Caroline County, Mr. Beazley attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Chester United Methodist Church and a former member of the Kiwanis Club. Survivors included his wife, Mrs. Clara B. Wilkerson Beazley; his mother, Mrs. Laurene Chewning Beazley of Chester; two daughters from a previous marriage; a stepdaughter; three brothers; a half-brother; five sisters; and six grandchildren.
