BADGER, Paul Jean April 17, 1916 - March 3, 2010. Resident of San Ramon, Ca. Paul was the son of Joseph E. and Esther Holmstedt Badger, longtime residents of Sebastopol. He attended Analy High, Santa Rosa J.C. and graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1941. He moved to Contra Costa County in 1946 and taught in secondary schools there for the next 32 years. During this time, Paul also was involved in civic activities, serving on the Pinole City Council and as mayor. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the East Bay Regional Park District, where he served for 14 years. Paul was preceded in death by his four brothers: Robert, Joseph, Melvin, and Stanley Badger. His twin sister, Edith Lorenzen, passed away on Nov. 14, 2009. He is survived by Eleanor, his devoted wife for 67 years and his daughter, Nikki Jean Hayes. His son, Roy Jean Badger, passed away in 2003. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren will remember, with love, his energy, sense of playfulness, and his friendly and helpful spirit. His life was well-lived and full.
