Two daughters were born to this marriage: Joan Patricia and Gloria Achtzig. Henry remarried to Elma Helen Nurnberg 16 Jan 1939 in Port Orchard, Washington. There were no children.
In 1940, his daughters were living with their grandmother, the widow Clara Hurtienne Feldmann in Hunts Prairie (South Tacoma), Washington.
