Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, GENOVEVA P. REYES, 75, lifelong resident of Chamberino left her dwelling place on earth and entered eternal life to be with her heavenly Father on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 13, 1933 in Chamberino to Bernardo and Isabel Escarcega Porras. Mrs. Reyes retired from the packaging department of Sara Lee Hosiery and was a member of San Luis Rey Catholic Church.
Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-two years, Andres L. Reyes of the family home; two sons, Ra�l Reyes and wife Rosa, Jose Luis Reyes and wife Guillermina; three daughters, Norma Armstrong and husband Steve, Precilla Nieto and husband Martin "Marty," Irma Martinez and husband Santiago, Jr.; three sisters, Ofelia Murillo, Elvira Medina and Amelia Avalos. Other survivors include fourteen grandchildren, Regina Bustillos, Celina Hernandez, Rocia Karina, Dominique, Luis Andres and Jose Luis Reyes, Jr., Adriana, Chaveli and Yovanna Sanchez, Patrick, Jacob and Anthony Nieto, Michael and Michelle Martinez; seven great grandchildren, Brisa Dominguez, Briana and Mia Bustillos, Isabela and Nicolas Hernandez, Ryan Jacob Nieto and Armando Reyes.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Francisca Lucero, Bijen Tellez and Juan Porras.
Visitation for Mrs. Reyes will begin at 6 PM Wednesday, December 17, 2008 in San Luis Rey Catholic Church, 206 S. San Luis Avenue in Chamberino where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. Family and Friends will join together to celebrate the Funeral Mass at 10 AM Thursday, December 18, 2008 in the same church with Reverend Robert Villegas, C.S.C. officiating. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Chamberino Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
Serving as casket bearers will be Jacob, Patrick and Martin "Marty" Nieto, Michael and Santiago Martinez, Jr. and Steve Armstrong.
