Mr. Mervin A. Jordan, Jr., age 86, of Alexandria, La., passed away Thursday, August 25, 2005, at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Alexandria, La. He was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. Mr. Jordan served in the Army during World War II.

He was the son of the late Mervin Jordan, Sr. and the late Edna (Banister) Jordan.

He is also survived by his

Sister-In-Law Mrs. Mildred Jordan Graff of Mesa, Arizona

Niece Mrs. Merline Johnson of Gonzales, Texas

Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, August 28, 2005. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Monday, August 29, 2005 at Welcome Home Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at the Welcome Home Baptist Church at 10:00 AM Monday, August 29, 2005 , with Rev. Bill Moore officiating. Interment will be at Welcome Home Cemetery in Dodson, La.
