Jim Lee Amos, 62, of Morrisonville died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital In Taylorville. He was born May 3, 1940, in Garden City, Kan., the son of Joe Jasper and Kate Nora Caldwell Amos. He married Mary Frances McKinney in 1965 in Morrisonville. Mr. Amos was a coal miner at Crown Mine in Virden and a member of New Hope Assembly of God. Survivors: Wife, Mary Frances; a daughter, Brenda Palmer of Morrisonville; five sons, Blaine Amos of Cirden, Carl (wife, Sherri) Amos of Collinsville, Mark (wife, Jeri) Amos of Carlinville and Jimmie and Gregory (wife, Susanne) Amos, both of Morrisonville; 19 grandchildren; three brothers, Herman (wife, Dot) Amos of Edinburg, Cecil (wife, Della) Amos of Pawnee and Clifford (wife, Mary) Amos of Holcomb, Kan.; and two sisters, Dorothy (husband, Ronnie) Northcraft of Nokomis and Lavona (husband, Chuck) McKinney of Argenta. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville, the Rev. Mike Warner officiating. Burial: Anderson Cemetery, Palmer.
