Alphonse Phillips Jr., 60, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013. He was a welder. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, he resided in Baton Rouge.

Visiting until service in Hall Davis & Sons Funeral Home of Port Allen. The Rev. Freddie Riley will officiate. Interment will be in Mulatto Creek Cemetery.

Survivors include 2 sisters, Brenda Hunter and Vida Lewis-Lacey; and 3 brothers, Lester Phillips, Rickey Phillips and Mark Phillips.

He was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents; his wife, Janice F. Phillips; mother, Dorothy P. Branch; and father, Alphonse Phillips Sr.
