Everlean Campbell Williams, 77, was born May 9, 1931, in Port Allen and she departed this life on Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Promise Hospital in Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
She lived in Chicago for more than 35 years and returned to West Baton Rouge Parish in 2002. She graduated from Leland College, received a bachelor's degree in secondary education in 1959 from Southern University and a master's degree from Chicago State University and completed other post-graduate studies. She was a retired educator with more than 30 years of committed service for the Chicago public school system.
Survived by her aunt, Alberta M. Desselle and family, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Williams; parents, Mary Milton C. Jackson and Cal Campbell; sister, Mayola Campbell Northern; brother, Cal Campbell; niece, Eloise Northern Ayo;
and uncles, the Milton brothers: Joseph, Johnny, Willie "Kid," Robert, Freddie and Ledall.
Visiting at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 4241 Mulatto Bend Road, Port Allen, religious service, conducted by the Rev. Oscar Gordon. Interment in Mulatto Bend Road Cemetery.
