Shelbina, Mo., Aug. 30.—The funeral of Mrs. John Bowling, 78, who died Thursday afternoon in the home of her son, Clarence, southwest of town, was held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Oakridge Baptist church south of Lentner. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bowling was born in 1862 near Maud, as Eugenia Davis Magruder, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Trav Magruder. She married John Bowling, who survives, in 1886. Surviving relatives are her husband; a son, Clarence, with whom she made her home; 6 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and a brother, Ewell Magruder, of Fulton.
