Gerard Lassen Dunkly, 49, died in Chester February 12, 1987. He was born September 16, 1937 in Santa Monica. Dunkly moved to Chester in 1971.
He was a union representative for Lumber and Sawmill Workers Union 3074 for six years. He was an army veteran, a member of the Plumas County Airport Advisory Committee, and the Plumas County Drug and Alcohol Abuse Council.

He is survived by his mother, Esther Dunkley of Los Angeles, wife, Linda of Chester, son, Dan, of Los Gatos, and three daughters, Lisa (Chester), Erin (Chester) and Donna (San Carlos) and two grandchildren.
Services were held February 15 at United Community Methodist Church in Chester, Reverend Jim Benner officiating. A private Burial was held at Prattville Cemetery.
The family requests donations, in lieu of flowers, to Plumas County Drug and Alcohol Abuse in care of Dwayne Durante of Quincy. Funeral services were held under direction of Fehrman Mortuary.
