AURORA -- Connie Mann, 59, of Aurora passed away on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, peacefully at her home, surrounded by family.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora. Father Dennis Hunt will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with the rosary at 7 p.m., Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Connie Jean Mann, the daughter of Raymond T. and Doris Mae (Nelson) Augustyn, was born on Aug. 5, 1953, at Ord and passed away at Aurora on Feb. 14, 2013, at the age of 59.
Connie grew up on the family farm near Arcadia. In 1967, the family moved to Aurora, and Connie graduated from Aurora High School in 1971. She worked at Farmer's State Bank for several years.
On June 16, 1973, she was united in marriage to Terry Mann. They had two daughters, Tammy and Christy. Connie ran an in-home day care for 35 years, providing care for over 120 kids. She loved taking care of all the children until her health prevented her.
Connie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Altar Society. Connie loved spending time with her children and especially spoiling her grandkids. She also enjoyed camping, gardening, her flowers and hummingbirds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and brother-in-law.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Terry of Aurora; two daughters, Tammy Mann of Tucson, Ariz., and Christy (Brett) Raasch of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Liam, Kale and Emery Raasch of Lincoln; sister, Sandra Augustyn of Aurora; sister-in-law, Helen Mann of Birmingham, Ala.; sister-in-law, Karen (Ron) Perry, and brother-in-law, Tim Mann, all of Aurora; sister-in-law, Marcy (Kevin) Senff of York; and sister-in-law, Vernie Mann of Alabama. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
