John J. Boros, age 78 of Anoka, formerly of Onamia, died suddenly on August 19 2005 from a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurism. He was born June 23, 1927 in Sobieski, MN. John attended high school at Assumption Abbey in Valley City, ND and went to college at Crosier Seminary in Onamia. He was a Korean War veteran, real estate broker and owner of Chris Agency in Anoka and a charter member of the Crosier Apostalate. John was a 4th degree Kights of Columbus and a member of the VFW, Moose Club, American Legion and Lions Club. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, storyteller, berry picker and polka dancer. He thoroughly enjoyed homemade, canned, and baked goods. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years, Elaine (Gau), parents, Leo, Sr. and Elizabeth (Kaiser) Boros, infant daughter, Kathleen, brothers, Henry and Leo, Jr. He will be dearly missed by daughters, Christine (Gary) Anderson, Marilyn, Deborah, Sandi (Marc) Weis, sons, Thomas (Judy), James (Toni), Robert (Victoria), grandchildren, Jennifer (Nate) Partin, Justin Anderson, Jacqueline and Krista Boros, Prescott and Alexandra Weis, Elizabeth and Catherine Potts, Penina Boros, great-grandchildren, Samuel and Katrina Parlin, sisters, Genevieve (LeRoy) Elliott, Veronica (Harvey) Doble, brother, Richard (Renata) Boros, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, many other relatives, friends, and good friend, Sharlene Lemon. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 5th and Jackson Street, Anoka, Interment Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Bulldog Lake, Visitation 5-8 p.m. Wednesday AT THE CHURCH and one hour prior to Mass.
