A boy of sixteen years, named James Porter, was arrested at the instance of Amos Bowers, a few days since, on the charge of forgery.
He had forged an order on Bowers calling for an $18 suit of clothes at one of the several "scheap" ready-made clothing establishments, and obtained the goods.
Brought before Judge Slack he confessed to the crime and was sent to the house of refuge.
