Kenneth Edward "Kenny" Blankenhagen, age 85 of Dalton, departed this life on Friday afternoon, at his home.

Kenny was a retired lab chemist from Monarch Cement Co. in Humboldt, Kan. He received first class refrigeratio and mechanical degrees from Nashville Technical College in 1948 and certification in electrical appliance and refrigeration from Stevinson Auto and Electrical College in Kansas City, Mo., in 1947.

He is a veteran of World War II, serving tours of duty in the Phillppines and New Guinea. He belongs to Dalton's American Legion Post 112. He is a member of the East Ridge Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leota Molly Blankenhagen of Dalton, his parents Edward E. Blankenhagen and Leona Vivian Blankenhagen ofIola, Kan.; a son, Gary Ray Davidson of Dalton; a great-grandson, James Alden Mosher of Memphis, Tenn.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Ellen and Lucien Claiborne, Donna Zee Sullivan, all of Dalton; grandchildren, Michael Claiborne of Calhoun, Cynthia Gaye and Keith Mosher of Jackson, Tenn., Lanore Molly and George Michael Benson of Evansville, Ind., and Patsy Luciel and Royce webb of Unionville, Conn.

Brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Roxie Blankenhagen of Manhattan, Kan.; and a sister, Mary Coleman of Topeka, Kan.
