WATERPROOF, LA. Funeral services for Mr. Harry L. Ball of Waterproof, Louisiana will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi with Rev. Larry Walters officiating.

Interment will follow at the Herringville Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Harry Lamar Ball was born March 13, 1946 in Mendenhall, Mississippi to the late Darby Ball and Ruth Deere Ball.

He passed away September 8, 2012 at the Cherry Ridge Guest Care in Bastrop, Louisiana.


He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Kim Ball; a brother, Larry Ball; a step-son, Ricky Price; and a nephew, Lane Ball.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Wilma Ball; a sister, Nita Ritchie and her husband, Daryl of West Monroe, Louisiana; two sons, Joey Ball and his wife, Diana of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Bryan Ball of York, Pennsylvania; three step-sons, Charlie Price and his wife, Sharon of Crossett, Arkansas, Tommy Price of Pioneer, Louisiana, Ronnie Price and his wife, Kim of Salem, Illinois; two nieces, Linda Whittington and her husband, Jimmy of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Becky Walker and her husband, Scotty of West Monroe; a nephew, Mike Ritchie of West Monroe; seventeen grandchilren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Billy Sanders, James Lynch, David Brock, Troy McLarrin, Ben George, and James "Sambo" Jones.

Honorary pallbearers are Ray Mize, T.C. Lee, and Clinton Gandy.

The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2012 at Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.

For those who wish the family suggest memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Waterproof, Louisiana.

Mr. Ball was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church in Waterproof. He was also a retired ginner with Producer's Gin in Waterproof, Louisiana.
