Visitation will be from 9 am until 11 am today at Greensburg United Methodist Church in Greensburg, Louisiana, with the funeral service following at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Greensburg Cemetery.
McKneely Funeral Home of Amite, Louisiana is directing the funeral service.
Evelyn was born November 30, 1913 in Greensburg, Louisiana to Joseph M. Sitman, Sr. and Betty Burton Sitman. She attended both Southeastern Louisiana University and Louisiana State University. On December 31, 1938, Evelyn married Holland M. Addison and together they worked at her family general mercantile store, Joseph M. Sitman's, along with her brothers Alphy and Joseph Sitman. Evelyn enjoyed and took great pride in her town's activities, the Garden Club and the Forest Festival; she was an active member of Greensburg United Methodist Church until 2003 when she moved to St Catherine's.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her grandson, Jake Scott Addison, and her two brothers.
Survivors include: one son, Dr. Holland M. Addison, Jr. "Mac" and his wife, Claudia, of Jackson, Mississippi and two grandsons, Michael Alden Addison and his wife, Emily, of Tupelo, Mississippi, and John Patrick Addison of Oxford, Mississippi.
