The Rev. Leo Nelson was a retired pastor with 39 years of service and a retired sandblaster with 30 years of service. He died at 5:23 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at his home in Port Allen. He was 75 and a native of West Baton Rouge Parish.
Survived by his wife, Rosetta J. Nelson; seven daughters, Renetta Nelson Glover, Marika Nelson, Gwendolyn Nelson McCray, Lorraine Nelson Byrd, Erica Nelson, Vickie Nelson and Denetria Nelson Lovejoy; three sons, Leo Nelson Jr., Milton Nelson and Jerome Nelson; and a brother, Hezakiah Nelson.
