Ruby Lee Adams, 79, On Tuesday morning, Dec. 7, 2004, God called Ruby Lee Adams as His own and she began her eternal life. Ruby Lee Adams was born Sept. 13, 1925, to the union of Alexander R. Adams and Edna Daigre Adams.

She was previously employed by South Central Bell as a telephone operator.

She was baptized at an early age and united with Scott United Methodist Church, Port Allen, Louisiana where she served faithfully all of her life. She loved her family and church and found great pleasure in attending services. During the past several years, she was hampered by a lingering illness but found strength to continue her life devoted to her family, friends and church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; two brothers, Lionel Adams Sr. and Alton John Adams; and two sisters, Alma B. Early and Eola A. Smith.

She leaves to mourn their loss her nephews and nieces, Adair M. Smith, Sheila M. Mason, Joi T. Mason, Adrian Marie Smith, Terrell D. Smith, Brian A. Smith, Quavé N. Smith and wife Mary, Quay D. Smith, Quavé Smith II, Linda P. Matthews and husband Frank, Fabré Jamal Matthews, Gordie A. Pattan III and wife Sue, Kasey L. Pattan, Jason Pattan, Ronald A. Pattan and children, Alfred Early and Edna M. Williams; other relatives and friends.

Religious service at Scott United Methodist Church.
Interment in Old Folks Home Cemetery.
