CAMARGO - Florence (McReynolds) Awick, 87, of Camargo, died at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 26, 1997) at Boxwood Healthcare Center in Newman.

Born June 12, 1910, in Bethany, Ill., the daughter of B.A. and Hattie (Bentz) McReynolds. She married John Lawrence Awick Dec. 28, 1935, in Lincoln, Ill. He died Feb. 9, 1997. Survivors include: a son, Laurence "Larry" Awick of Sardinia, Ohio; three daughters, Marilyn Hayward of Georgetown, Lavonne Morrow of Newman and Myra McConnell of Huntington Beach, Calif.; nine grandchildren and one stepgrandchild; 11 great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother, R.M. McReynolds of Bethany, Ill. She also was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister and one great-grandchild.

She was a retired school teacher in the Murdock and Newman area. She was a member of the Murdock Methodist Church and was a 4-H leader for more than 30 years.

Funeral services: 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov 30 at Joines Funeral Home in Newman; Officiating: Pastor Scott Randolph; Visitation: 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 at the funeral home; Burial: Camargo Cemetery.

Memorials: Murdock United Methodist Church.
