ADAMS COUNTY PA CIVIL WAR VETERAN.
The son of John E. & Catherine Albert, in 1860 he was a laborer living in Latimore Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. He stood 6' 1" tall and had dark hair and gray eyes.
A Civil War veteran, he was drafted and mustered into federal service at Chambersburg February 25, 1865, as a private with Co. F, 99th Pennsylvania Infantry, and honorably discharged by special order May 31, 1865.
He married Sarah A. unk. and fathered William H. (b. @1873), John C. (b. @1876), and Mary C. (b. 1880.)
