SHELTON, ROBERT R.
A retired painter and sandblaster and a resident of Plaquemine, he died at 4:05 a.m. Tuesday Feb. 19, 2002, at River West Medical Center, Plaquemine. He was 58, a former longtime resident of New Roads and native of Port Allen. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen from 10 a.m. until services at noon Wednesday, conducted by chaplain Chris Springer. Internement in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery, Erwinville. Survived by his mother Mary Shelton McMorris, Plaquemine; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and will Templet, Livingston, and Sue & C.J. Cazes and Nina Cardinal all of Plaquemine; two brothers and sister-in-law, Raynaud Shelton, Baton Rouge and Jake and Debbie Shelton, Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife, Louise Thibeau Shelton; father Raynaud Shelton; stepfather Eckford McMorris; a sister Jeanie Mayberry; and a nephew, Jake Charles Shelton.
