Charlotte Marie Amos was born October 24, 1971, the daughter of Mitchell and Madeline Amos m Oklahoma City, Okla.
She graduated high school in Oklahoma City and later moved to Tulsa, Okla., where she lived for a short time until moving to Eufaula in the latter part of the ‘90s.
She held various jobs until her present position with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections in McAlester as a corrections officer.
Charlotte loved watching her sons grow and always showed her enthusiasm for their sports activities by attending all the events she could, usually with her mother, Madeline, at her side. Crocheting was also a favorite pastime as shown by the many items she has made and given to her family and friends.
A Native American wake service was held on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at 7 p.m. in the Gregg Funeral Chapel in Eufaula. The funeral service was held Monday, October 30, 2006 at the First Free Will Baptist Church at 1.30 p.m., with Mike Harjo officiating. Internment was at the Hitchitee Cemetery, near Little Oklahoma.
She is preceded in death by her father, Mitchell.
Charlotte is survived by her mother, Madeline Amos of Eufaula; two sons: Cameron and Christian Amos, both of the home; aunts: Ruth and James Heddinger of Tulsa, Kissie and George Mouse of Yukon, Ellen Jones of Blanchard, Armetta and Joe Looney of Davis, Ametta Amos of Oklahoma City, and Alice Porter of Shawnee; uncles: Morris Amos of Oklahoma City, Thomas Fixico of Shawnee, Charles Hennehaw of Seminole; one great-aunt, Amelia Deer of Seminole; and several cousins and other relatives and friends.
