Roger Dale Bates, 35, of Hardy, died Thursday at his home. He was a truck driver for Strong Transportation and was a veteran of the Marine Corps.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Wayne Bates and David Allen Bates, both of Hardy; his parents, Roger and Sue Bates of Ash Flat; one brother, John Michael Bates of Cherokee Village; one sister, Frankie Smith of Evening Shade; and his maternal grandmother, Hazel Bates.
