Homer "Woody" Bailey, 90, Brainerd, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Woody was born on Oct. 16, 1919, in Canada. He attended ministerial college and preached the majority of his life. He was a writer of three books and for many newspapers, including the Pine River Journal and Lake Country Echo. He also worked for the Salvation Army, where he met and married Betty Miller.
Survivors include his wife and four children, Bonnie, Barbara, Sandy and Bruce. He also had 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Services were held 11 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2010, at Good Samaritan Village-Woodland in Brainerd with Pastor Barb Christenson officiating.
Visitation was held the hour before services. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Nisswa.
