John Anderson, 88, of West Fairview, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Golden Living Center, Camp Hill.
Mr. Anderson was a retired brakeman, having worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad, Penn Central and Conrail for 38 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and a Pearl Harbor survivor, and was a member of VFW Post #882, Marysville.
Surviving are his wife, Esther M. Knaub Anderson; a son, James A. Anderson, and wife, Deb of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Agnes Gray of Middletown; and grandchildren, Sarah, Rebekah and John.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., on Monday, May 12, 2008 at Pine Street Presbyterian Church, 310 North 3rd Street, Harrisburg, with Rev. Dr. Russell C. Sullivan, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Griers Point Cemetery, Rye Twp., Marysville. Viewing will be held from Noon to 1 p.m., on Monday in the church.
