Dorothy Browning, 76, of Deweyville, Texas, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2010, at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Deweyville with Reverend Damon Bickham officiating. Burial will follow at Deweyville Cemetery under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, at the church.
Born in Leesville, Louisiana, on February 8, 1934, Dorothy was the daughter of Ada (Smith) and Joe Hext. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Deweyville and was the deli manager of the Super Stop in Deweyville. Dorothy cherished her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Tina Browning; grandchildren, Bob and Laura Browning, Tisha Browning; and Jeff and Randi Busby; great-grandchildren, Caden, Raylee, Jace and Amos all of Deweyville; one brother, six sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
